Mobile Heartbeat Releases Version 18.1 of MH-CURE to Further Optimize Clinical Workflows

WALTHAM, Mass. — February 21, 2018 —

Mobile Heartbeat®, a leading provider of mobile healthcare enterprise solutions that improve clinical workflow and care team communication, today announced Version 18.1 of MH-CURE™ (Clinical Unified Results Enterprise), its secure clinical communications and collaboration platform enabling unified communications, improved patient-specific workflows and a real-time clinical team directory connecting all members of a patient’s care team.

With this new version, MH-CURE delivers several new features that provide greater interoperability and enable clinical and departmental teams to optimize workflows to benefit the healthcare enterprise. Version 18.1 introduces advanced application integration configuration, video chat, lock screen viewing of notifications and support for rapid user adoption. Details on some of the new features are as follows:

Enterprise Workflow

  • Support for Growing User Base: MH-CURE easily accommodates the need to expand use of the application across the enterprise or beyond to the entire network. With hospitals going from zero to tens of thousands of users, scalability is important. Hospitals can continually add users and increase notifications without any impact on service or functionality
  • Video Chat: With the tap of a button, an MH-CURE user can start a video chat with another user without having to jump to another application. By just locating the primary care physician in a patient’s record, a nurse can initiate a video chat with the physician to show signs of a stroke or the extent of a wound in real time.
  • Lock Screen Notifications: Broadcast notifications and WCTP notifications from other systems can be viewed without unlocking and logging into the application. Administrators can configure the details that are displayed while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Users, particularly those wearing gloves, can just grab their phone and look at the screen, saving several minutes of time.
  • Call Quality Metrics: To ensure consistent, superior call quality between users, data is collected on each phone call to provide a report on the quality of the network used, the connection and the ability of the users to communicate easily and complete the call.
  • Advanced Active Directory Sync: Automatically creates, modifies and archives users in Mobile Heartbeat based on changes to their Active Directory, ensuring contact accuracy.
  • Dynamic Role by Facility: Each hospital in an enterprise/network can set up and manage their own list of clinical team roles.

Interoperability

The CUREConnect InterApp API: Provides the ability for administrators to quickly setup and deploy integrations between MH-CURE and other mobile applications used by the care team on mobile devices. These enterprise integrations can be configured to display to individual facilities in the customer’s network and to different user roles in a facility (e.g. physicians and nurses). Each facility and each person in a particular role has access to the applications they specifically need and is able to easily view patient data in another application while remaining in MH-CURE. Single Sign-on enables users to launch back and forth between workflow critical apps without needing to manually enter login credentials.

Other Notable Features

  • SQL AlwaysOn with Distributed Availability Groups: Geographically separate clones of SQL servers running MH-CURE, ensuring that if one SQL server goes down (e.g., due to a weather-related incident), there is a redundant backup server in another location to keep communications up and running with no downtime.
  • Android Shared: Support for using MH-CURE as a shared Android device.
  • FaceID: Enables face recognition to log in to the application.

“We are driven to deliver a clinical communications and collaboration platform that supports the enterprise while ensuring users and care teams have the best possible workflow experience as they treat their patients,” said Ron Remy, CEO at Mobile Heartbeat. “With this latest version of MH-CURE, hospitals continue to gain capabilities for systems integration, scalability for large deployments and configurability for user- and facility-level functions – ensuring efficient communications, streamlined collaboration and optimal patient care.”

Mobile Heartbeat will be exhibiting MH-CURE Version 18.1 at the HIMSS18 conference and exhibition taking place March 5 – 9, 2018, at the Venetian–Palazzo–Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas, NV. The company will be in Booth #2461, showcasing the CUREConnect InterApp API, Video Chat, Lock Screen Notifications and other new features offered.
